Description

  • Ever wondered what makes some ensembles more successful than others?

  • Do you have an idea for an ensemble or band, but aren't sure where to start?

  • Do you like funky music?

Then you won't want to miss this.

This Career Workshop will feature a Q&A session with Chicago's very own and SOM alumni-filled Lowdown Brass Band followed by a live performance featuring MC Billa Camp!

Before they perform, LDB members will fill you in on how the band got their start, how they divvy up non-performance roles to keep the band running smoothly, what lessons they have learned over the years from managing an ensemble, and more!

So, to recap:

  • Q&A with the LDB

  • Live performance/dance party

  • Pizza

Register by Tuesday, May 2 to guarantee your spot!

All Career Workshops are open exclusively to current & prospective DePaul School of Music students as well as School of Music alumni. All others interested in attending should email Rachael Smith at rachael.smith@depaul.edu
